I’m finding it SO difficult to pick pictures! I have so many that I’d love to use! And it depends on my mood too.
So, I thought I’d try something different today. I decided to go with dramatic lighting (that I really enjoy). My kids photo is darker and my adult photo is much lighter.
Gosh, and even that one, I just changed at the last second. Hmmm…I am fickle it seems.
This one was actually of Brooklyn and I, taken on my old Fuji point and shoot! So much easier to take self portraits on those rather than the BIG camera. LOL
Anyway, head over IheartFaces and check out ALL their photos!

Wow! Both photos are soooo lovely. I am not real sure which I like better because they are both so different. Love the lighting you chose for each of the pics.

I have a hard time choosing, too! Who knew this fun contest would be so stressful? 🙂 I really like the deep contrast to the child entry…for my eye, it is more dramatic than the adult one. I love the moment captured in the adult entry and I think the image itself is gorgeous… Great self portrait and with a point and shoot, no less!

These are my faves so far! Love the setting and lighting and vignetting of the first. Looks like a children’s book illustration or something. And the second one is so pretty lightened like that – captures the emotion of the moment – they look angelic!

Beautiful choices! i just got my big camera last weekend and I’m realizing that self portraits (at arms legnth) are now completely out of the question. So funny that you mentioned that!

So, so beautiful! Love your play on the first one (and what girl doesn’t want curls like those!)
The second one is take-your-breath away tender. I love the emotion and how sweet his expression is. Does that ever give me baby fever!!!
And YES!!! I know what you mean about point-and-shoots being so much easier to take self-portraits with! I bought a little remote for my Rebel, but haven’t tried it out yet. Of course that means I still have to set up the shot… and somehow keep my 2-year old in the frame with me. SIGH 🙂
