I got so busy last week with everything going on, I MISSED last week! That is just simply not acceptable….so this week, I’m doing it early. 😉
This week I chose a photo of my 2 older boys. Brothers, friends, enemies, roommates, secret-keepers, secret-tellers, competitors, and everything else that boyhood brothers can be. They are not always bestfriends, they are not always enemies. They play together and entertain each other.
I took this in the middle of a rousing game of Monopoloy.
(And yes, they are playing around, not really fighting. 😉 )
This photo was taken last month of my dear husband saying his last goodbyes to his friend.
Now, head over to iHeartfaces and see how the rest of the photographers interpreted “My friend & I”!

Wow… two totally different pictures! The first one just makes me laugh.. those boys are comptetive in the way that only brothers can be. It’s a great capture of a very real moment. Second picture? Breathtaking and heartbreaking at the same time. We’re all going to be at that point with our friends, whether we’re the one standing or the one laying down. Your husband’s face brings a lump to my throat… and makes me realize just how much I love my friends. As always, beautiful work, Dana….

What special pictures. I love your boys’ photo. I long for photos such as those, brothers are a remarkable thing. With the loss of my oldest boy, that’s one of the things I long most for (my little one to have his big brother). Now, onto the photo, I remember the boot, the car, the dog, the top hat, etc…I don’t remember strong man in Monopoly! I guess it’s be a while. 😉 Thank you for sharing such special shots!

I tried to leave a comment on this about 3.6 million times and gave up. Hopefully this one comes through…
Girl, you know how to take a picture.
That first one is PRICELESS and shows that awesome friend/opponent/brother relationship.
That second one just makes you STOP and think. And inspires gratefulness.
Thank you Dana.
